In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Citadel Football. The Citadel Football Association has commissioned acclaimed South African artist Cardin Fox to recreate on canvas the majesty and glory of Johnson Hagood Stadium in two oil paintings. The CFA now makes these available to members and friends as certified and numbered limited prints of 500, 24"x18" giclees. Bring back fond memories and recollections of the "good times and days of our youth" with these striking renderings of "Saturday's Battleground".

Dear Friends,

I know you are probably wondering why I am pushing the sale of these beautiful oil on canvas prints of the "Old Johnson Hagood Stadium". Well I was recently at a medical meeting (i.e.government supported vacation) in South Africa and was lucky enough to become acquainted with the work of Cardin Fox a renowned South African artist. And, in my too frequent bombastic manner I advised him that he should seek employment in the United States, "because that's where the money is." Anyway, I essentially promised him that I would fund his trip (for him, his wife and son) here and the support them for six months. Well, when I realized the cost of such generosity, I began to formulate some plan to pay for this venture. That is when I thought of the old stadium which had already been razed. I promise his rendering of the old stadium will evoke the memories which we all cherish.

My classmates will remember our freshman team victory over South Carolina, our victories over Furman, the Navy win, and all the great moments enjoyed with fellow alumni and friend throughout the years. This will be perfect for that private office and the purchase will benefit the CFA. And, if the prints are as popular as I think they will be, then Cardin's trip will be fully funded.
