All football staff participates as players on individual foursomes and the rest help as needed in the operation of the tournament that day. This is a great opprotunity to get to know a coach or coaches and develop a bond with our staff and the football program.
This event was started back in the early 1980's by Buford Blanton '54 former player and owner of Summerville Country Club to raise money for the football program. Through his generosity of donating the course, golf cars, refreshment and meal to participants this tournament over the last thirty-four years has raised well over $350,00.00.
