The Horry County Citadel Club donated $6,000 towards the purchase of chairs for the Football Meeting Room and the CFA contributed the remaining $1,000. This project was spearheaded by Charlie Baker and several members of the CFA. The 120 new padded chairs with “The Citadel” and “Spike Bulldog” logos replaced the chairs that originally came with the building which was opened in 1982. A plaque honoring The Horry County Citadel Club is on permanent display outside the meeting room entrance.
