Local members of the Class of 1978 answered a call from the Citadel Football Association and raised money to purchase and install a state of the art sound system for the weight room. The sound system is very instrumental in providing an atmosphere that is motivating to the different varsity athletes as they go through their daily workouts and max-outs.
While all of the donors admit that the taste of music enjoyed by these student athletes is a bit different that what they are used to-the results of the strength and conditioning program is without question. All did agree however, that Neil Diamond singing “Sweet Caroline” would not be on the favorites list.
