Play by play live broadcast of a Citadel football game was done on October 18 vs Davidson from Charlotte, NC where the game took place by telegraph not by radio. Citadel cadets secured a experience telegraph operator who received transmissions from stadium and then it was read by a cadet using a megaphone to some 400 plus folks at Alumni Hall on campus. Several other cadets using a blackboard would record the written teletype where audience could visual see what was happening at game. An admission was charged. The event was declared a success.
